ABOUT US
We are Rachel Drew and Sarah Crannitch, both Clinical Psychologists with a wealth of experience in both the public and private sector. We work with people across a wide age range from adults, young adults, adolescents to families and children. We both trained in New Zealand and have worked here in NZ and in the UK in a number of different clinical settings including, medical, corrections and, child and adolescent mental health.
Our main therapeutic models are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma focused and mindfulness based interventions. We also have specialist training in and provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy).
We have a strong working relationship with University of Otago and Student Health, ACC funded organisations, and some secondary schools within the Dunedin area. We provide ACC Sensitive Claims interventions and assessments for young people and adults, and are registered providers with Visser & Associates.
At DrewCrannitch Psychologists we strive to provide a warm, caring and effective service based on the most current evidence-based research, and every assessment and intervention is individually tailored for the person we are working with.
Our office space is based in a convenient location in Central Dunedin. Our premises are modern and comfortable, and there is wheelchair access and parking nearby.
OUR SERVICES
ASSESSMENT & INTERVENTION OF SPECIFIC DISORDERS
These include; trauma, self harming and suicidal behaviours, OCD, PTSD, depression, eating disorders, mood difficulties, generalised anxiety and health anxiety. We see individuals of all ages.
ACC SENSITIVE CLAIMS
We are able to provide Clinical Psychology work under the ACC for Sensitive Claims. We are passionate about providing a service to those who have experienced sexual trauma and are experiencing difficulties with their health and wellbeing.
YOUTH &
YOUNG ADULTS
We have extensive experience working with adolescents and youth who are experiencing difficulties with their emotional wellbeing, including low mood/depression, anxiety, adjustment, self-image, eating disorders, and trauma.
ADULT ADHD ASSESSMENTS
We provide comprehensive diagnostic assessments for ADHD, these involve clinical interview, psychometrics, and written feedback.
We have access to several cognitive and neuropsychological tests, including adult ADHD assessments.
SUPERVISION & TEACHING
We both have experience running therapeutic groups and teaching workshops. We are able to provide professional supervision to other professionals working in this area.
